'How To Feel Uncomfortable' is the lead single from Canada-born artist Dana Gavanski’s upcoming album LATE SLAP, releasing April 5. Recorded in Margate with folktronica legend Mike Lindsay, Gavanski’s third album is the product of a new songwriting process, uprooting her folk traditions and embracing the unknown with new technology. “Through these songs I was learning how to let my doubts and fears into what I was doing, to welcome them as little sprites with something to offer” Gavanski states. Acoustic and electronic elements squeeze in beside one another as guitars squirm by and horns prod and poke into the mix. At the centre of the song is Gavanski’s theatrical and playful vocal, leaning into the unconventional and unexpected while still delivering a unique and undeniably catchy song. -Adam Brown
